If they aren't selling new licenses anymore the program is effectively "dead" which means they are either abandoning support of CNX or something new and completely different is coming. No free trial but you should get a free upgrade to CEP4.

Dustin Francis has a 3 pass sharpening method in PS which gives photos that Pop Anyway it is kind of nice to be back using NX2 and looking forward to an NX3 someday. That makes a lot more sense now then it did then. I went to register my CEP 2 so I could upgrade and it wouldn't let me.

I am going to sit this one out until more info is available. From my experience, preferring 'better safe than sorry', it's always better uninstall previous software. Has anybody tried this software for their NEF's?

You may want to ask captyre the Nik Software Group. It didn't go through. You are meant to forr bit on the bit OS, therefore it doesn't give you a choice as stated in the system requirements: I contacted Nikon support due to bug in CNX2, they first advised me to uninstall CNX2, clean registry with their tool, reboot and install again and check if that helps. I'd hate for Capture to die a death. I then tried installing the new 64 bit update of CEP 3 3.

Just seen, there is a new CEP version 3. The main reason being that I didn't think I'd efed see NX2 improve in any way.

Thank you Nik and Nikon. I had originally installed foe bit to keep CEP working. Is Capture NX2 to hit the dust as well?

I tried purchasing a license using the link you provided. Thanks for the 'heads up'. It took only a couple of minutes to upgrade CEP 3 on my mac and it works great. After all the NX2 program when installing on top of itself, does recognzie this, and says completf during the install. So therefore, I left NX2 installed. Once you downloaded and installed the trial version, a message says that the trial period has expired.

However, I just also learned that Nik had the 64 bit cep 3 update. Ok, I'm now worried about this.
